After morning breakfast, clear the immigration formalities in immigration office. Once you get the inner-line permit drive towards Thimphu, which take almost 6 hrs drives to reach. On the way you can visit Kharbandi Gumba. The journey will be beautiful surrounded by mountain. On the way to Thimphu see the waterfall. Once you reach Thimphu. Check into your pre-booked hotel & after refresh and take rest.

Evening time can be spent strolling through the government-run Handicrafts Emporium and local crafts bazaar, to browse through examples of Bhutan’s fine traditional arts. Here you can buy hand-woven textiles, thangka paintings, masks, ceramics, slate and wood carvings, jewellery, and interesting items made from local materials. Chimi Lhakhang – The Chimi Lhakhang, situated on a hillock in the center of the valley, is also known as the temple of fertility. It is widely believed that couples who do not have children and want one, if they pray at this temple, they are usually blessed with a child very soon. A walk through the village near the temple will give you rare glimpses into the daily life and lifestyle of the villagers.
Punakha Dzong – It was built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, at the junction of the Phochu and Mochu rivers. This majestic dzong served as both the religious and the administrative center of Bhutan in the past. It measures some 600 by 240 feet and has a six-story, gold-domed tower. Inside are courtyards and religious statuary that hint at the depth of history and spiritual tradition embodied here

Dochula Pass – The Dochula Pass is a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimpu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as “Druk Wangyal Chortens” have been built by Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk, the eldest Queen Mother. Apart from the chortens there is a monastery called the Druk Wangyal Lhakhang (temple), built in honour of the fourth Druk Gyalpo (head of the state of Bhutan), Jigme Singye Wangchuck; the open grounds in its front yard is a venue for the annual Dochula Druk Wangyal Festival. The pass with 108 memorial chortens is adjacent to the country’s first Royal Botanical Park.

Tiger Nest Monastery (Taktsang Lhakhang) is Bhutan’s most iconic landmark and religious site. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom. It is believed that Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) flew to this location from Tibet on the back of a tigress from Khenpajong. This place was consecrated to tame the Tiger demon, was first built in 1692 at a cave where Guru Rimpoche meditated in a cave. In order to arrive at the temple you must trek for around 2-3 hours through beautiful, shady pine forests that are colorfully festooned with moss and prayer flags.
